PARADISE BEACH
This beach rules! On this bounty beach you forget all your worries and you really can get into the relax-mode. In this spectacular bay you can have a sun bathe on the pearly white beach, lunch or dine at the beachbar or just take a stroll alongside the ocean while waves break on the shoreline and palmtrees rustle in the breeze.

Exotic seashells** are washed ashore so Gambian women come here to make bracelets and necklaces on the spot. Don’t worry about hustlers and bumpsters as you will hardly find them here. So have à talk with the locals if you feel like it. If, inspite of the seabreeze, you are overheating a bit just position yourself on one of the beds underneath an beach-umbrella or cool off under the beachshower, made out of a recycled oil drum.
You can of course also take a dip in the ocean but undercurrents can be very strong along the Gambian beaches so don’t go too deep. If you like fish just order it at the beachbar, it is so fresh that you would swear it just jumped out of the sea right on your plate.

** Take into account that if you want to take some seashells back
home with you that some species are protected and you might
NOT be allowed to bring them through customs.
